Welcome! We are located in East Ocala, Florida. We love to play tennis in leagues and hope to help any tennis player in the area! Besides all regular massage modalities described in Services and Rates, we specialize in Rolfing and Myofascial Sports Massage. We also provide chair massage events.
When you have tried everything to get rid of pain from an injury or a surgery or bad posture and nothing has worked, you are ready for Rolfing. This modality also really helps when you have chronic pain from wear and tear, possibly caused by repetitive strokes, like excessive computer typing, tennis elbow, long commutes, any kind of pain from working out or a hobby.
Rolfing is a holistic modality which means it focusses on the entire body. It is a very slow paced modality with no lubricant, hence 2 hours are needed to treat upper or lower extremities (the 10 sessions -10 series- are recommended for a life changer). However, I also offer 1 hour treatment on a smaller area as a tryout. We are the facilitator of your own healing which will last with time, as we work on your awareness of your chronic pains and bad posture reasons.
Myofascial Sports Massage is a modality more targeted to athletes or active people. It is slightly similar to Rolfing without the holistic approach. We use very little lubricant and slow strokes. Parts of the body may be addressed individually. We also assess your pelvis and may reset it, as well as your lower extremities muscle firing patterns. Any misaligned pelvis or improperly firing muscle patterns increases the risk of injury in any or all sports such as tennis, soccer, football, golf and horseback riding. In 2023, we recently worked with expected NFL draft prospects, as well as with the Inter Miami pro soccer players.
